Email Logging

Overview

Email logging automatically saves copies of your sent emails to the matching contact’s timeline in HiWork. BCC your unique logging address when sending an email, and it appears on the contact’s record.

How to log emails

  1. Open Settings from the main navigation.

  2. Click Email Logging.

  3. Copy your unique logging address.

  4. When composing an email in your email client, add this address to the BCC field.

  5. Send your email. It will appear on the matching contact’s timeline.

Tip: Add your logging address to your contacts as “HiWork” for quick access when composing emails.

How emails are matched

When you BCC your logging address, HiWork matches the email to a contact based on the recipient’s email address. The email is attached to that contact’s timeline along with any attachments.

Emails are only logged to contacts that already exist in your account. If no matching contact is found, the email is not logged.

Reset your logging address

If your logging address becomes compromised or you want a fresh start:

  1. Open Settings from the main navigation.

  2. Click Email Logging.

  3. Click Reset address.

  4. Confirm the reset.

After resetting, emails sent to your old address will no longer be logged. You’ll need to update any saved contacts or email signatures with the new address.
